Natalie Portman and Her Olympia Le-Tan Book Clutch

Natalie Portman was a stunning black swan at the New York premiere of her new flick “Black Swan.” Her look was a bit damsel in distress-sy. What with her off-the-shoulder black Dior confection, hair worn down, and scarlet red lipstick, she was, as always, a sight to behold.

Of course my clutch radar was on and what caught my eye first was the book-looking clutch she was holding:

Olympia Le- Tan Lolita Book Clutch

It was utterly interesting. Apparently it’s not just Natalie who’s smitten. French actress Clémence Poésy also sported an Olympia Le -Tan “bookish” clutch at a recent Harry Potter premiere in London.

Olympia Le-Tan is a French designer who draws inspiration from her father’s beautiful book collection. Only 16 pieces are made per design with the  first edition handmade by the designer herself. Each clutch retails for a whopping $1090 EU! Pretty expensive for a fairly simple boxy clutch isn’t? But then again it’s the novelty that makes these the hottest clutch bags at the moment. Visit her website for details on her retailers.
