Hailee Steinfeld Carries Geeky Chic Chanel “LEGO” Clutch

Jan 31 2013

I am envious of Hailee Steinfeld’s latest arm candy, the Chanel Boy Brick clutch, more popularly known as the LEGO clutch. I love offbeat stuff and this clutch had just the right touch of sophistication — and whimsy. The young celebrity was spotted carrying the playful clutch to the Chanel Haute Couture S/S 2013 show at the Paris Fashion Week.

Hailee wore a tartan-style Chanel cardigan, leather skirt, black cap and Christian Louboutin pumps which she matched with the bright yellow LEGO clutch that perfectly suited her youthful exuberance.

Other colors include crayon hues like green, red, blue, pink and white, plus a transparent version with black accents. It also comes with a detachable chain strap. Here’s the Boy Brick Clutch as seen on a model during the Chanel runway show last October:

Sigh. With its $9,000 price tag, I’ll just content myself with looking at photos of the clutch…or shop for something similar at one of my favorite handmade crafts stores, Etsy.

But now that we’re on the subject of fun clutches, these playful ones might just catch your fancy and whimsy:

Busy Philipps: Glowing and Gorgeous at the Screen Actors Guild Awards

Jan 29 2013

Cougar Town actress Busy Philipps is expecting her second child this June and the very pregnant mom showed off her baby bump on the red carpet. The star proudly displayed all her lovely curves with her maternity gown of choice — a flowing black Gabriela Cadena gown with a small train.

Giving us a lesson on maternity fashion, the heavily pregnant working mom (yes, she is indeed busy!) also accessorized with a statement Irene Neuwirth necklace and ring, and a Judith Leiber minaudiere plus some serious manicure.

Busy Clutch

This goldtone clutch is irregularly shaped and features stud accents at the sides. It was certainly attention-grabbing and among all the Leibers carried by a number of celebrities to the event, this was hands down our favorite. We love how Busy matched it with her jewelry and it was eye-catching against her black gown.

It’s not available online but we’ve found some options in case you’d like to snag a studded clutch:

Kelly Osbourne Channels Old Hollywood with a Lilac Twist at SAG Awards

Jan 28 2013

Kelly Osbourne obviously didn’t need fashion policing on the red carpet. Channeling Old Hollywood glamour with a modern twist, the E! Fashion Police correspondent and fierce fashionista rocked the red carpet during the 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards in a black Jenny Packham dress with bead embellishments, Brian Atwood shoes and Kimberly McDonald jewels. Kelly’s lilac hairdo was very her but done in an elegant ’30s-inspired style.
