Leighton Meester at the IFP’s 20th Annual Gotham Independent Film Awards

The androgynous look is still very much on trend, and we’ve seen quite an eyeful of it on the red carpet in the last few days. Well, thanks to Leighton Meester who resurrected the look when she appeared at the IFP’s 20th Annual Gotham Independent Film Awards in New York City in a pantsuit.

Here’s Leighton Meester in menswear:

Leighton Meester sure did live up to her fashionista roots when she elegantly pulled off the masculine look. It was pure genius to brighten the gray-ness of everything with satin Salvatore Ferragamo Fioretta pumps, glittery earrings, and an emerald green alligator clutch. The emerald green alligator clutch especially amped up the whole streamlined look. With everything in the attire so laid back, the green clutch simply stood out.

If you think of going green with your evening clutch as well, then there are these to consider:

This is the JJ Winters Chain Clutch in Green Ostrich. It’s very glamorous and was in fact featured in the September 2010 issue of Glamour magazine:

Here’s another option for you:

This Women’s Klub Nico Calistoga comes in a beautiful Green Napa Leather. It’s a foldover clutch so you can get more stuff tucked in there. Plus, its got a wrist strap for an easy wear.

Then there’s the Laura Matthews Designs Olive Green Clutch with Gold Plate:

I just love the olive shade of this clutch–very chic! And the gold plate detail adds elegance to the whole thing. In addition, it’s made of lambskin.

Last, but definitely not the least, is this Inge Christopher Carmen Silk Flap Clutch:
