Two Looks, One Straw Clutch

A straw clutch is a quintessential summer piece. If you’re going to get one, I suggest get one that’s versatile enough to take you from day to night. There are a lot of options out there, certainly. But be wise with your choice and pick something that can last several summer seasons.

I happen to find one that has all the qualities of a quintessential summer straw clutch.

Kate Spade New York Point Breeze Cece Clutch, $225

The Point Breeze is actually a crossbody which makes it even more versatile. You can wear it on your shoulder, across your body, or use as a clutch. It has a pretty bow detail that gives a nice contrast to the natural state of the bag. What’s also interesting is the placement of the bow on the flap of the purse. It’s unconventional yet sweet. It’s also available in equally pretty petunia pink.

Here, I’ve laid out two ways to use this straw clutch. For the day, wear with shorts, an interesting tank and ‘of-the-moment’ clogs. Top it off with a nice fedora. For night, such a clutch will surprisingly work with a jersey maxi dress accessorized with some baubles, complete with some jeweled sandals.
