What do you think of this Marc Jacobs Black Tweed Fluo Convertible Clutch? Sometimes Marc Jacobs comes up with odd pieces like this one that really get me wondering what went through his head when he was designing (or approving) it.

Don’t get me wrong. I don’t hate it; the mix of textures and  materials are intriguing.

Mix of patent leather, tweed, gold hardware, and stones

But for some reason, I cannot fully appreciate it as a clutch.  For some reason, I see it more as a casual handbag.

I think it’s the size; it looks just a tad too oversized. Or it could be the unusual combination of colored stones and tweed. Whichever it is, I know that I can never use it as a clutch, even if it was meant to be one.

Now if you think it is simply perfect as it is, feel free to purchase it at BlueFly.com. It retails for a heavy US$796, that’s 20% off its retail price of US$995.
