This Season: Falling Deep Into Dark Romance With ShopBop’s Clutch & Jewelry Collection

ShopBop has a new face, alright, one that is actually making my shopping experience with them more pleasant. I am loving the clean lines and the absence of that distinct papaya-hued banner. For some reason, I favor ShopBop more than any other online boutiques. I just had to peek into their clutch bag & jewelry collection when I realized I had to update mine.

As fall sets in, I realize that my preferences have taken a different turn as well. I am now looking into a deeper palette in the brown, black, crimson and plum hues. Exactly what I envision old Victorian-era romance to be. But with a modern twist, of course. Here are my best sets!

Diane von Furstenberg Lytton Lace Clutch $325.00 / Juliet & Company Plume Noir Earrings $50.00

I instantly felt this lace brocade clutch to be a winner because of its affinity to romance & seduction, plus the twig-shaped closure is a beautiful detail. Perhaps a rendezvous in the forest? The jet-faceted crystal earrings are so vintage, it makes me think of turtleneck collars and wispy ponytails.

House of Harlow 1960 Rey Suede Bag $158.00 / Fallon Jewelry Triple Winged Necklace $315.00

Definitely of Victorian descent, this suede bag captures my look book for fall 2012 to a perfect T. I can see it worn as a crossbody paired with a short, casual dress and heeled booties. The necklace is an altogether different thing: Swarovski renders the sweetness while the spike additions play a hint of dangerous. I love the combination!

Twelfth St. by Cynthia Vincent Banker’s Oversized Clutch $270.00 / Vanessa Mooney Destiny Cross Necklace $150.00

I can easily picture this clutch as my carry-all for the whole season because it’s oversized (very roomy!) and versatile enough to pair with just about anything. And especially with leather boots, I think it will look amazing. The antique leather finish (snake-embossed) gives it a vintage appeal plus I love the slim handle details at the top. This cross pendant necklace I chose is also vintage-y, carved brass and faceted beads are very rich and romantic.
